Electrostatic precipitator

The working principle of the electrostatic precipitator is to use a high-voltage electric field to ionize the flue gas, and the dust in the airflow is separated from the airflow under the action of the electric field. The negative electrode is made of metal wires with different cross-sectional shapes, which is called the discharge electrode.

The positive electrode is made of metal plates with different geometric shapes, which is called the dust collecting electrode. The performance of the electrostatic precipitator is affected by three factors: the nature of the dust, the equipment structure and the flue gas flow rate. The resistivity of the dust is an indicator for evaluating the conductivity, which has a direct impact on the dust removal efficiency. If the resistivity is too low, it is difficult for the dust particles to remain on the dust collecting electrode, causing them to return to the airflow. If the resistivity is too high, the charge of the dust particles reaching the dust collecting electrode is not easy to be released, and the voltage gradient formed between the dust layers will produce local breakdown and discharge. These situations will cause the dust removal efficiency to decrease.

The electrostatic precipitator consists of two parts: one is the main system of the electrostatic precipitator; the other is the power supply device that provides high-voltage direct current and the low-voltage automatic control system. The structural principle of the electrostatic precipitator, the high-voltage power supply system is powered by the step-up transformer, and the dust collector is grounded. The low voltage electric control system is used to control the temperature of the electromagnetic rapping hammer, the ash unloading electrode, the ash conveying electrode and several components.
