Electrostatic precipitator is a flue gas purification equipment.

The working principle is:when dust particles in the flue gas pass through the high-voltage electrostatic field,they collide with the positive and negative ions and electrons between the electrodes and become charged(or charged during ion diffusion movement).Dust particles with electrons and ions move to the opposite electrode under the action of the electric field force and accumulate on the opposite electrode.The dust on the electrode falls into the collection hopper through vibration and other methods,so that the flue gas passing through the electrostatic precipitator is deeply purified,achieving the purpose of protecting the atmosphere and the environment.

The working principle of electrostatic precipitator:When the gas containing dust particles passes through the high-voltage electric field formed between the cathode line(also known as the corona electrode)connected to the high-voltage DC power supply and the grounded anode plate,the gas is ionized due to corona discharge at the cathode.Electrostatic precipitator technology The working principle of electrostatic precipitator:When the gas containing dust particles passes through the high-voltage electric field formed between the cathode line(also known as the corona electrode)connected to the high-voltage DC power supply and the grounded anode plate,the gas is ionized due to the corona discharge at the cathode.At this time,the negatively charged gas ions move toward the anode plate under the action of the electric field force.When they collide with the dust particles during the movement,the dust particles are charged with negative electricity.The charged dust particles also move toward the anode under the action of the electric field force.After reaching the anode,they release the electrons they carry.The dust particles are deposited on the anode plate,and the deeply purified gas is discharged from the dust collector.According to the common types of electrostatic precipitators in China,they can be roughly divided into the following categories:vertical and horizontal according to the direction of airflow,plate and tube according to the type of precipitation electrode,and dry and wet according to the removal method of dust on the precipitation electrode.Advantages of electrostatic precipitator⑴Good purification efficiency,can collect fine dust above 0.01 microns.In the design,different operating parameters can be used to meet the required purification efficiency.⑵The resistance loss is small,generally below 20 mm water column.Compared with the cyclone dust collector,even if the power consumption of the power supply unit and the vibration mechanism is considered,the total power consumption is still relatively small.⑶The allowable operating temperature is high,such as the SHWB type circuit dust collector has a good allowable operating temperature of 250℃,and other types can reach 350~400℃or higher.⑷The specific range is large based on the actual situation.⑸All operations can be automatically controlled.Disadvantages of electrostatic precipitator:⑴The equipment is relatively complex,requiring a high level of equipment transportation,installation and maintenance management.⑵There are certain requirements for dust resistivity,so there is a certain selectivity for dust,and it is not possible to obtain a high purification efficiency for all dust.⑶It is greatly affected by the operating conditions such as gas temperature and humidity.If the same kind of dust is operated at different temperatures and humidities,the obtained effects are different.Some dusts are very effective at a certain temperature and humidity,but at another temperature and humidity,the electrostatic precipitator can hardly be used due to the change of dust resistance.⑷The initial investment is large,and the horizontal electrostatic precipitator occupies a large area.⑸At present,the practical effect in some enterprises does not meet the design requirements.
